ABOUT THE PROMOTION

The exhibition 《of NOSTALGIA》, which highlighting the artistic world of painter Kim Taek-hwa, is presented at Jeju Shinhwa World. This exhibition invites visitors to encounter the memories and nostalgia of Kim Taek-hwa, an artist who devoted his life to Jeju and built a distinctive artistic universe through his work. Beginning with early abstraction and later expanding into landscapes and still lifes, his replica works convey the artist’s enduring perspective and message: “What is most Jeju is what is most universal.” Through these works, his vision resonates anew with contemporary audience. Within paintings that capture the nature, daily life, and the passage of time in Jeju, visitors are invited to experience Jeju as seen through Kim Taek-hwa’s eyes—and the world beyond.
